ANN ARBOR, Mich. University of Michigan president Mary Sue Coleman did not make herself available to answer questions following a Board of Regents meeting Thursday in which an internal audit of the school's football program practice time was on the agenda.
Coleman quickly slipped through a door after the meeting was adjourned.
Spokesman Kelly Cunningham said Coleman would not address an ongoing NCAA investigation into whether Michigan's football program exceeded mandated practice limits last year.
The only thing I can tell you is that the log process for those forms was corrected as soon as I learned of the issue -Rich Rodriguez

ANN ARBOR, Mich. The Game has lost a lot of luster.
Ohio State has beaten Michigan five straight times, its best winning streak and the longest in the series since the 1920s.
The ninth-ranked Buckeyes (9-2, 6-2 Big Ten) have already clinched at least a share of their fifth straight conference title and a spot in the Rose Bowl.
Michigan (5-6, 1-6) is mired in another miserable year -- coming off a school-record nine-loss season -- and is nearly a two-touchdown underdog to lose Saturday at home to guarantee consecutive losing records for the first time since 1962-63.
That would never occur to the participants -Jim Tressel

When C.J. Spiller stands beside Howard's Rock for his solo, Senior Day run down Clemson's famed hill on Saturday, he won't think about the friends he's made, the highlight reels he's filled or the nearly four miles he's run since picking the Tigers four seasons ago.
He'll focus, as he always has, on the 60 minutes ahead and guaranteeing his Tigers come out on top.
"It might be emotional, it might not," Spiller said.

Eyad Salem admits "it's a good story when you think about it."
Since arriving at Illinois State in 2006 as a walk-on transfer from Division II Minnesota State-Moorhead, Salem has authored a spectacular career while scrawling his name all over the Redbirds' football record book.
Salem completes his third and final season at ISU in Saturday's noon Missouri Valley Football Conference game against No. 9 Northern Iowa at Hancock Stadium with his place among the top wide receivers in school history secured.
It’s been a long road. At the Division II school I was at, I envisioned where I wanted to be and where I wanted my team to be -Eyad Salem

In the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs, the University of Nebraska at Kearney answered its first challenge — establishing the run — with sophomore Rustin Dring plowing through the Saginaw Valley State defense for 188 yards.
This week, the Lopers will have to do that again while meeting another challenge: stopping Minnesota-Duluth running back Isaac Odim, who is very similar to Dring.
The third-leading rusher in the nation and a Harlon Hill Award finalist, Odim is averaging 149 yards ...
He’s gone through some growing pains -Bob Nielson
